oDesk Vs Elance

When it comes to oDesk or Elance, there are some things that people need to keep in mind both in terms of the differences and similarities between the two. Both of these sites are two of the biggest freelance marketplaces oDesk Vs Elanceonline today. For a freelancing career, these are both really great places to start if you’re looking for some work. They both have a huge number of employers that are looking to hire people like you. These are just some things to keep in mind when your job searching online.

When it comes to oDesk vs Elance, there is a difference in their quality job postings. Nobody wants to work for a company that is paying them almost nothing. In terms of job postings comparing oDesk vs Elance, oDesk actually beats Elance in almost all cases. When it comes to job openings, Elance has actually had a major decline in the number of openings that were available for people. Many people prefer oDesk because of the consistency of job openings that they have available, and guarantee  of payment which is definitely something hard to find these days, especially when working online.

When comparing oDesk vs Elance there is a big debate with their fees. They both charge people to use their services. You will, however, need to give up a percentage of your income when working on oDesk, and this is not just a onetime charge. Sometimes the fees can be a big part of what you actually earn. Elance fees do have some things in common with oDesk, but oDesk is a lot more convenient. They have bit more of a complex fee structure that many people HATE. Their membership fees & many other fees mean you can easily forget about some, this is what makes oDesk much better than Elance all the fees are clearly listed and can be calculated before a job is started.

When you look deeper into oDesk vs Elance privacy is a big deal. This is really a no brainer, and many people already know that Elance Won in this category. The one thing that people do not like about oDesk is that they have a policy which any  hourly assignments must install software that watches your every move. Many people do not want to go through all of that hassle because they feel as though this software is extremely unwelcome clearly violates their privacy. Many workers do not like this idea at all. When it comes to oDesk vs Elance for privacy, unfortunately oDesk lost this one.

In terms of Customer Service, oDesk vs Elance the comparison is very close both of companies have great customer service, however oDesk is the only one that offer guaranteed payment.  This is what tends to make people lean toward oDesk in this area, because of the guarantee and the number of help pages they have for people who need advice and tips.

Nice review! I am a member of both freelance sites, although I was never successful with Elance. I chose the free subscription that made my job applications limited and job postings wasn’t that many.

I agree with what you said with time-tracker on oDesk, a bit hassle on my part for keeping the clicks active all the time. Nevertheless, I am okay with it as long as my time is paid =)

There’s one thing in common that we should all know about these sites, they usually hire people whom they think can work for the job right away without having a tough screening process that will somehow resort to losing employees. I‘d been searching for full time workers who are excellent in English and can perform tasks very well without my supervision and glad to find a site that offers my needs, kudos to Staff.com!

you should try geeatreflancer.com and scriptlance.com for the first time. Though I like odesk very much, but most freelancers starts their career using the first 2 sites. The simple thing you should keep in mind that, if you apply joomla job, you should have some portfolio of joomla. Otherwise it is tough to get job.
